Gentlemen's Games (2004). Description

Marva Munson is an elderly black woman who lives in a provincial town in America. She has a large house, which is mostly empty after her husband's death. Soon she decides to rent out a room and after a while several different tenants change in it. When the next one left, the new one did not take long to wait, and it turned out to be Goldthwaite Higgins Dorr. He works as a professor of Greek and Latin.
The new tenant is in great need of housing. From the very first days, Marva Munson realized that this was exactly the kind of tenant she needed, since the professor was very peaceful and quiet. The roommates quickly found a common language, so there were no obstacles to the professor's continued residence in this house. The only strange request that came from the new tenant was to use the basement for rehearsals. It turns out that Goldthwaite is a member of a musical ensemble.
Given that the ensemble plays mostly classical music, Mrs. Munson could not refuse him this. But she still doesn't know that Dorr turns out to be completely different from who he pretends to be. After all, in fact, his main goal is to dig out of the basement to rob an underground casino. And his "musical group" is a collection of accomplices who help him in this cunning criminal case.
